Forever we will say, You're the Lord our God

(The Lord our God, Passion Band)

Promise maker, promise keeper
You finish what You begin
Our provision through the desert
You see it through ‘til the end
You see it through ‘til the end

In the silence, in the waiting
Still we can know You are good
All Your plans are for Your glory
Yes, we can know You are good
Yes, we can know You are good

So we won’t move without You
We won’t move without You
You’re the light of all and all that we need, Lord to everything
We won’t move without You
We won’t move without You
You’re the light of all and all that we need,
We trust You, God

We won’t move without You
We won’t move without You
You’re the light of all and all that we need, You will in Your hands
We won’t move without You
We won’t move without You
You’re the light of all and all that we need, yea

The Lord our God is ever faithful
Never changing through the ages
From this darkness
You will lead us
And forever we will say
You're the Lord our God

And forever we will say
You're the Lord our God
And forever we will say
You're the Lord our God

You're the Lord our God
The one we love, the one we trust
We live for You, the Lord our God

Life for now

1. Lots of big decisions in the not too distant future :/
2. My God knows all the answers to my questions
3. My kindergarten class at Mission First makes me smile
4. Praying for my friends in Haiti in a tough time
5. Chai tea. My drink of choice. Always.
6. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.
7. "Don't worry about anything, pray about everything..."
8. My mom. Because she is awesome.
9. Worship in the car on the way to work
10. God is in control. Not me.

Funny story. At Mission First I was sitting with my kindergartners and doing some Bible studying while they were doing some homework. One of the girls looks over at my Bible and then whispers to one of the other kids, "Miss Grace colors in her Bible". The whole class comes out in a chorus of "Ooooooo Miss Grace!" Hahaha I love those kids.

Until the whole word hears,
Grace

I spent 5 weeks in Haiti... Now I'm back

Haiti has a big chunk of my heart. This was my 2nd trip there and I completely fell in love with the people. I went once again with But God Ministries. This time I was not doing construction though. I helped in the pharmacy of the free medical clinic that is on site, helped in VBS, painted houses (and outhouses), got to visit a tent city, moved a family out of the tent city, and most importantly made relationships that will last a lifetime. I could write pages and pages about all the Lord has taught me this summer but it all boils down to a few powerful lessons.
   1. Who the Son sets free is free indeed! How freeing is that?! I am a redeemed child of the Most High God and He has called me to Himself to tell more captives of His freeing power.
   2. Our God is an awesome God and He does reign! He reigns high above all and is in complete control. His plans are higher than mine, His timing is better than mine, and His will is perfect.
   3. All that said He chose me. He chose little captive Grace to be His. He chose to use messed up me to carry out His perfect plan. I have the opportunity to be used by the Lord of all daily if I would simply surrender my ways and follow where He is leading.
God don't let us become content with where we are in You. Let us constantly be longing and thirsting for more of Your life-giving water. Let us search and dive deeply into Your Word that we my fall more madly in love with You with each word we read, prayer we pray, and step we take. May every moment be lived for You and for Your glory not our own. Make us transparent that others would see through us and just see You. We love you!

Following His lead,
Grace

India Pictures (Finally)

We got to go to a leper colony and love on the people that were put there. Most of them never had visitors.

A Hindu temple. There are more in a couple blocks than you could count on your hands.
We went village to village and got to lead them in a VBS type program.
A classic Indian meal.
We also got to visit schools and sometimes presented the Gospel there. Other times we weren't allowed to and we would just tell them about being a good student or about America.

It really was a trip of a lifetime. I will never forget the amazing time that my team and I had on the other side of the world.

Brokenness Aside

Brokenness Aside by All Sons and Daughters

Will your grace run out
If I let you down
'Cause all I know
Is how to run
[ Lyrics from: http://www.cloverlyrics.com/e86382-all_sons_and_daughters~brokenness_aside_lyrics.html ]
'Cause I am a sinner
If it's not one thing it's another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies
But You are a Savior
And You take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful

Will You call me child
When I tell you lies
'Cause all I know
Is how to cry

'Cause I am a sinner
If it's not one thing it's another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies
But You are a Savior
And You take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful

You make it beautiful
You make it beautiful

'Cause I am a sinner
If it's not one thing it's another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies
But You are a Savior
And You take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful

I am a sinner
If it's not one thing it's another
Caught up in words
Tangled in lies, oh yeah
But You are a Savior
And You take brokenness aside
And make it beautiful
Beautiful

You make it beautiful
Beautiful
You make it beautiful
Beautiful

You make it beautiful
You make it beautiful

Would you crawl?

“Sir, I do not share your faith.  But if I did – if I believed what you say you believed – then although England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would crawl the length and breadth of it on hand and knee and think the pain worthwhile, just to save a single soul from this eternal hell of which you speak.” ~Charles Peace

This is what a criminal responded with when someone told him about their faith. This was what he responded with when told of Christ. We can't just talk the talk when we are called to both talk and walk.

It's simply not fair

It's not fair that...

many people judge based on race

there are 27 MILLION sex slaves

there are orphans that will never have families

there are people with no hope

not everyone has good food and clean water

some people are homeless

there are forced child marriages

people feel lonely

girls don't feel pretty enough so they starve instead

and so much more.

And what really isn't fair? That SO many people aren't doing a thing about it.

Thankfulness not on Thanksgiving

Quick intro. So I feel like so many times people (including me) forget to be thankful until November rolls around. It really isn't supposed to be like that. Let's be thankful all year 'round! So here are 10 things that Jesus has been recently teaching me.

1. Grace up grace (John 1:16)
2. Live a life of love (Ephesians 5:2)
3. Patience. Patience. Patience.
4. Friends. New and old. I am so glad to have them.
5. All my lovely Mission First kids. From weeding gardens to make them feel better to "working at McDonald's" these kids make my heart happy.
6. We are completely victorious! (Romans 9:37)
7. Food. Go ahead and laugh but I truly am super glad to be able to just go into the kitchen and get something to eat when so many people around the world couldn't.
8. Break my pride Jesus and lay me humbly at Your feet.
9. Change me on the inside so that I can reflect You on the outside.
10. My mom. Cliche and what not but seriously, you wish my mom was yours.

Learning to follow Him,
Grace
