Before the Throne

Before the Throne By: Shane and Shane

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea:
A great High Priest, whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on his hands,
My name is written on his heart;
I know that while in heaven he stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look, and see him there
Who made an end of all my sin.

Because a sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free;
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise the One,
Risen Son of God!

Behold him there, the risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace!

One in himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased by his blood
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God
With Christ, my Savior and my God

I love this song! It is so powerful and tells just how much we should depend on Christ and that we aren't a thing unless we are in Him and He in us. Satan may try to distract me and keep me from doing my mission of sharing Christ's love... But HE WILL NEVER get the victory!!! Becuase victory is Christ! He has paid it all. He has lifted burdens and squashed sin! He fills me with love, joy, strength, courage, and His power. He fills me where I overflow onto others! I won't give Satan a foothole. He will try and get me down. He will try and keep from Christ. But I have a secret... I am hidden in Christ! He won't be able to find my heart in this body because it is in Christ! I am not my own!!!! The word Christian literally means little Christ. We better start acting like we carry His name... We better start changed our perspectives.. We better start dying to self! Because He is just waiting for us to hand it all over. We can't do it. It has to be through Him. Will you die?

Hidden in Christ,
Grace
